Flagship Business-in-Community Initiative
Project WeCan is a Business-in-Community programme initiated by Wharf in 2011. It is an open platform where participating secondary schools are paired with a sponsor in a multi-year collaboration with financial aid and volunteer support. It is an unprecedented “school adoption” model to foster cross-sector cooperation.
Through diversified programmes, Project WeCan widens secondary school students’ horizons and empowers them to pursue higher education and future careers.

If you want to do something for Hong Kong, for the community, this is a live option. Any company that joins, it's your programme, it's your company's own flag. For your staff, it's a chance to give back. In the end, the success is yours.
These students might not have a good start... We want to bring them basic integrity, to make sure they are entirely competent in basic skills, build their confidence and character, and expose them to career opportunities.
– Peter Woo, Founding Patron, Project WeCan Foundation

Since the launch of Project WeCan, we have witnessed many uplifting and life-changing stories of young people, vivid Hong Kong stories. The aim of Project WeCan is underlined by the belief that every student has his/her own potential and everyone can excel in different ways if there are appropriate grooming and platforms for them to shine.
